1. ความหมายและความสำคัญของวิชาเศรษฐศาสตร์การจัดการ
เศรษฐศาสตร์การจัดการ เป็นการประยุกต์ใช้ความรู้ระหว่างความรู้ทางด้านเศรษฐศาสตร์คือวิชาที่ศึกษาเกี่ยวกับการจัดสรรทรัพยากรที่มีอยู่อย่างจำกัดเพื่อใช้ตอบสนองความต้องการของมนุษย์ที่มีอยู่อย่างไม่จำกัดเพื่อให้ได้รับความพอใจสูงสุดหรืออรรถประโยชน์สูงสุด และความรู้ทางด้านการจัดการคือเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการตัดสินใจของผู้บริหารหรือผู้จัดการ เพื่อให้บริษัทหรือองค์กรได้ผลกำไรสูงสุดเข้าด้วยกัน เพื่อนำไปวิเคราะห์หาคำตอบที่ดีที่สุดในการแก้ไขปัญหาทางด้านการจัดการ หรือนำไปใช้ในการตัดสินใจของผู้บริหารทั้งของภาคธุรกิจเอกชน และภาครัฐ เพื่อให้การบริหารจัดการสามารถดำเนินไปได้ตามเป้าหมายที่กำหนดไว้
2. เป้าหมายของการดำเนินธุรกิจกับบทบาทของเศรษฐศาสตร์การจัดการ
