การประกาศนโยบาย “ค่านิยมหลักของคนไทย ๑๒ ประการ” ของพลเอกประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา
นายกรัฐมนตรีและหัวหน้าคณะรักษาความสงบแห่งชาติ (คสช.) นั้น กำหนดขึ้นเพื่อมุ่งหวัง
สร้างประเทศไทยในอนาคตให้เข้มแข็ง ซึ่งการที่ประเทศไทยจะเข้มแข็งได้ ต้องมีคนในชาติ
ที่เข้มแข็งก่อน ดังนั้นจึงกำหนดค่านิยมหลักของคนไทยให้ชัดเจนขึ้น เพื่อให้คนไทยใช้
เป็นแนวทางประพฤติปฏิบัติตน โดยค่านิยมหลักของคนไทย ๑๒ ประการ มีดังนี้

๑. มีความรักชาติ ศาสนา พระมหากษัตริย์ ซึ่งเป็นสถาบันหลักของชาติในปัจจุบัน หมายถึง
