โครงการ “จักรยานเพื่ออากาศสะอาดสู่เมืองสีเขียว” เกิดจากความร่วมมือระหว่าง บริษัท โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด ร่วมกับ ศูนย์นาโนเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ สำนักงานพัฒนาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ (สวทช.) กระทรวงวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี และ จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา ด้วยวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อร่วมกันสร้างอากาศที่สะอาด โดยมีกิจกรรมที่ส่งเสริมให้เกิดการเดินทางแบบเป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม นั่นคือการร่วมปั่นจักรยาน เป็นระยะทางรวมกว่า 28 กิโลเมตร นอกจากนั้นยังมีกิจกรรมร่วมปลูกป่านิเวศ เพื่อเป็นการเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียว และส่งเสริมให้ชุมชนท้องถิ่นได้มีส่วนร่วมในการสร้างสังคมคาร์บอนต่ำอย่างยั่งยืนร่วมกัน
