เช่น ระหว่างผู้ใหญ่กับเด็ก กล่าวคือ ในปัจจุบัน สังคมไทยนั้น ยึดหลักการเคารพการตัดสินใจทางความคิดของผู้อาวุโสกว่า โดยยึดถือว่า ผู้ที่เกิดก่อนก็จะมีประสบการณ์มากกว่า ทำให้มีวุฒิภาวะทางความคิดและการตัดสินใจมากกว่าผู้ที่อายุน้อย
