ทุกๆปลายปี สำนักวิจัย Gartner จะประกาศให้เห็นถึง Top 10 แนวโน้มของเทคโนโลยีในปีต่อไป แต่ปีนี้ Gartner ประกาศออกมาค่อนข้างเร็วตั้งแต่ต้นสัปดาห์นี้ และก็ได้ระบุถึงเทคโนโลยีไอทีต่างๆ 10 ด้าน ตามที่แสดงในรูปที ซึ่งถ้าเปรียบเทียบกับปีที่แล้วหรือ 2-3 ปีที่ผ่านมา จะเห็นได้ว่าในปีนี้ไม่ค่อยมีคำว่า Cloud Computing, Mobile Technology, Social Networks หรือ Big Data ทั้งนี้ก็เพราะว่า Mega Trends เหล่านี้ได้กลายมาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในระบบไอทีที่เราใช้อยู่ทุกวัน และแทบทุก Strategic IT Trends ที่ Gartner พูดถึงก็จะเกี่ยวข้องกับ Mega Trends เหล่านี้ สำหรับ IT Trends ในปีนี้มีเรื่องต่างๆที่น่าสนใจดังนี้
