วันดินโลก (World Soil Day) ตรงกับวันที่ 5 ธันวาคมของทุกปี จากการประชุมขององค์การอาหารและการเกษตรแห่งสหประชาชาติ (FAO) ครั้งที่ 144 ระหว่างวันที่ 11-15 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2555 ณ สำนักงานใหญ่องค์การเกษตรและอาหารแห่งสหประชาชาติ กรุงโรม ประเทศอิตาลี ที่ประชุมได้มีมติสนับสนุนและร่วมกันผลักดันให้มีการจัดตั้ง "วันดินโลก" (World Soil Day) ตรงกับวันที่ 5 ธันวาคมของทุกปี ซึ่งตรงกับวันคล้ายวันพระราชสมภพของพระบาทสมเด็จพระปรมินทรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดช
