วัดตั้งอยู่ด้านทิศตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของตัวเมือง โดยแยกจากถนนรอบเมืองไป ประมาณ 500 เมตร วัดนี้ตั้งอยู่ติดกับลำตะคองซึ่งไหลพาดผ่านตอนเหนือของตัวเมืองไปลงสู่แม่น้ำมูล
