มีประเพณีปล่อยลูกเต่าที่มีอายุตั้งแต่ 3 เดือนขึ้น ไปลงทะเล โดยจะจัดงานขึ้นที่หาดไนยาง ซึ่งเป็นบริเวณที่เต่าขึ้นมาวาง ไข่เป็นประจำ และ นิทรรศการเกี่ยวกับเต่าทะเลให้ชมกันในงาน จะมีการปล่อยเต่าทะเลที่อนุบาลไว้ ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเต่าหญ้าโดยให้ผู้ร่วมงานบริจาคเงินแล้วนำเต่า ไปปล่อยลงทะเล จากนั้นก็ร่วมแข่งขันกีฬาทางน้ำและการละเล่นพื้นเมือง วันที่จัดงาน วันที่ 13 เม.ย. ของทุกปี ซึ่งตรงกับวันสงกรานต์และวันประมงแห่งชาติ สถานที่จัด คือ หาดไม้ขาว
