ในปี 2557 คงต้องยอมรับว่า สภาพแวดล้อมของเศรษฐกิจไทย ณ ขณะนี้ยังไม่เอื้อให้เศรษฐกิจของประเทศฟื้นตัวกลับมาได้ในช่วงไตรมาสแรกของปี อีกทั้งบรรยากาศทางการเมืองยังคงมีผลกดดันต่อการใช้จ่ายในประเทศ ขณะที่กำลังซื้อสินค้าส่งออกของประเทศจากคู่ค้าต่างประเทศ ยังไม่ปรับตัวดีขึ้นมากนัก แม้ทิศทางเศรษฐกิจโลก จะมีสัญญาณฟื้นตัวก็ตาม
