โครงการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการออกแบบระบบนับคนเข้าออกในห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์ โดยการนำเอาเทคโนโลยีมาประยุกต์ใช้งาน เช่น เครื่องอ่านบาร์โค้ด กลอนแม่เหล็กไฟฟ้า และคอมพิวเตอร์ จากนั้นทำการออกแบบซอฟต์แวร์ระบบนับคนเข้าออกในห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์โดยใช้โปรแกรม Visaul Basic 2008 และใช้โปรแกรม Microsoft Access 2010 มาทำเป็นฐานข้อมูลสำหรับเก็บข้อมูลจากการลงทะเบียนและการล็อกอินของบุคลากร ซึ่งระบบนับคนเข้าออกในห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์จะรับข้อมูลด้วยชุดอ่านบาร์โค้ดแล้วทำการตรวจสอบข้อมูลจากการลงทะเบียน เพื่อสั่งการให้ประตูเปิดและปิดพร้อมนับจำนวนการล็อกอินของบุคลากร และเก็บข้อมูลสถิติการเข้าออกของบุคลากรแต่ละคนได้ และสามารถดูข้อมูลย้อนหลังได้ จากนั้นทำการทดสอบการใช้งานของระบบนับคนเข้าออกในห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์แล้วทำการสำรวจความพึงพอใจ ผลการทดสอบปรากฏว่าระบบทำงานปกติไม่ขัดข้องใช้งานได้อย่างเป็นที่น่าพอใจ
