เมื่อวันที่ 19 มิถุนายน ที่ผ่านมา นางสาวเครือรัตน์ หนูพุ่ม เจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายรัฐกิจและกิจการสัมพันธ์ บริษัท ซี อี ซี อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล ลิมิเต็ด (สาขาประเทศไทย) ได้เข้าร่วมประชุมกับประธานชุมชนวัดธรรมโฆษณ์ คณะกรรมการชุมชนวัดธรรมโฆษณ์ คณะกรรมการเขตอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรสัตว์น้ำ และคณะกรรมการป่าชายเลนชุมชน ม.3 (บ้านบ่อปาป) ต.สทิงหม้อ อ.สิงหนคร จ.สงขลา เพื่อติดตามผลงานของกลุ่อนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรสัตว์น้ำและป่าชายเลนชุมชนทะเลสาบสงขลา บ้านบ่อปาปที่ได้ทดลองปลูกต้นโกงกางในกระบอกไม่ไผ่ ทำบ้านปลา และกั้นแนวเขตอนุรักษ์ป่าชายเลน ผลการติดตามสรุปได้ว่า วิธีการปลูกต้นโกงกางในกระบอกไม่ไผ่มีอัตราการรอดเกือบทั้งหมด คิดเป็นร้อยละ 95 เปอร์เซ็นต์ และพบว่าในบริเวณแนวเขตอนุรักษ์ หลังจากการทำบ้านปลามีสัตว์น้ำมาอาศัยและเติบโตเพิ่มจำนวนมากขึ้น กลุ่มอนุรักษ์ฯ จะใช้วิธีการปลูกต้นโกงกางในกระบอกไม้ไผ่ในโครงการปลูกป่ากับซี อี ซี ปีที่ 2 ต่อไป
