จากตารางที่ 1.1 พนักงานที่ได้รับบาดเจ็บการปฏิบัติงานของฝ่ายช่าง บริษัท การบินไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) ระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2553-2557 พบว่า มีพนักงานได้รับบาดเจ็บ 42, 44, 46, 50 และ 55 คน ตามลำดับ โดยพบว่าพนักงานได้รับอุบัติเหตุส่วนใหญ่บาดเจ็บเล็กน้อยไม่หยุดงาน ตลอดระยะเวลา 5 ปี มีพนักงานประสบอุบัติเหตุรวมทั้งสิ้น 237 คน เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับจำนวนพนักงานทั้งหมดของฝ่ายช่าง 4,031 คน (กองความปลอดภัยและอาชีวอนามัย ฝ่ายช่าง บริษัท การบินไทย จำกัด (มหาชน): 10 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2557) มีพนักงานประสบอุบัติเหตุตั้งแต่ ปี พ.ศ. 2553-2557 ถึงร้อยละ 5.88 เมื่อวิเคราะห์ถึงสาเหตุของการเกิดอุบัติเหตุพบว่าเกิดจากสาเหตุดังนี้ 1) ความรู้เท่าไม่ถึงการณ์ (2) การขาดประสบการณ์ในการทำงาน (3) สภาพแวดล้อมที่ไม่อำนวย (4) พื้นที่ทำงานและอุปกรณ์ ไม่เหมาะสม (5) สภาพเศรษฐกิจของบริษัท (6) การปกครองบังคับบัญชาที่บกพร่อง (7) ความประมาทของพนักงาน (8) ความจำเจของงานมากเกินไป (ฝ่ายช่าง บริษัท การบินไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) การสำรวจการเกิดอุบัติเหตุจากการปฏิบัติงานของ ฝ่ายช่าง บริษัท การบินไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) (2557)
