ตามมาตรฐานการบัญชีฉบับที่ 32 เรื่อง “ที่ดิน อาคาร และอุปกรณ์” สมาคมนักบัญชีและผู้สอบบัญชีรับอนุญาตแห่งประเทศไทย ได้ให้ความหมายของคำว่า ที่ดิน อาคาร และอุปกรณ์ หมายถึง สินทรัพย์ที่มีตัวตนซึ่งกิจการมีไว้เพื่อใช้ประโยชน์ในการผลิต จำหน่ายสินค้า หรือให้บริการ เพื่อให้ผู้อื่นเช่า หรือเพื่อใช้ในการบริหารงาน และกิจการคาดว่าจะใช้ประโยชน์มากกว่าหนึ่งรอบปีบัญชี
