ประเพณีปอยหลวง หรืองานบุญปอยหลวง เป

ประเพณีปอยหลวง หรืองานบุญปอยหลวง เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของชาวล้านนาซึ่งเป็นผลดีต่อสภาพทางสังคม ถือว่าเป็นการให้ชาวบ้านได้มาทำบุญร่วมกัน ร่วมกันจัดงานทำให้เกิดความสามัคคีในการทำงาน งานทำบุญปอยหลวงยังเป็นการรวมญาติพี่น้องที่อยู่ต่างถิ่นได้มีโอกาสทำบุญร่วมกัน และมีการสืบทอดประเพณีที่เคยปฏิบัติกันมาครั้งแต่บรรพชนไม่ให้สูญหายไปจากสังคม

            ช่วงเวลาจัดงานเริ่มจากเดือน 5 จนถึงเดือน  7 เหนือ (ตรงกับเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ ถึงเดือนเมษายนหรือเดือนพฤษภาคมของทุกปี) ระยะเวลา 3-7 วัน
