(วัดมหาธาตุยุวราชรังสฤษฎิ์) ส่วนด้านใต้ คือ วัดโพธาราม
จึงทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้ขุนนางเจ้าทรงกรม ช่างสิบหมู่ฝีมือเยี่ยม
มาร่วมอำนวยการบูรณปฏิสังขรณ์เพื่อสถาปนาให้เป็นวัดหลวง
โดยเริ่มการบูรณปฏิสังขรณ์เมื่อปี พ.ศ. ๒๓๓๑ ใช้เวลาถึง ๗ ปี ๕ เดือน ๒๘ วัน
จึงแล้วเสร็จและโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้มีการเฉลิมฉลองเมื่อปีพุทธศักราช ๒๓๔๔
