ได้ศึกษาเกี่ยวกับด้านจำนวนโซมาติกเซลล์ (Somatic Cell Score; SCS ) ในโคพันธุ์โฮลสไตน์ฟรีเชี่ยนพบว่าจะมีของค่าอัตราพันธุกรรมในช่วงการให้นมที่ 1และ 2 เท่ากับ 0.137 และ0.155 ตามลำดับ ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับ Carlén et al. (2004) ที่รายงานค่าอัตราพันธุกรรมของจำนวนโซมาติกเซลล์ในช่วงการให้นมที่ 1และ 2 เป็น 0.14±0.01 และ 0.13±0.01 ตามลำดับ
