มูลนิธิโอสถสภา ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 2531โดยดำริของ คุณสุรัตน์ โอสถานุเคราะห์ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสนับสนุนและ ส่งเสริมกิจกรรมสาธารณกุศล ที่มุ่งเน้นในด้านสาธารณสุข และการศึกษาโดยมิได้มุ่งหวังผลตอบแทนใดๆ เพียงเพื่ออยากเห็น สังคมไทยคือสังคมแห่งการให้อย่างแท้จริงดังจะเห็นได้จากโครงการต่างๆ ที่กระจายสู่ทั่วภูมิภาค
