หัวหน้าแม่บ้านดูแลตรวจตราการทำงานของผู้ช่วยแม่บ้านหรือแม่บ้านประจำฟลอร์(ชั้นของอาคาร) 3 คนขึ้นไป ในกรณีที่เป็นโรงแรมขนาดเล็ก หัวหน้าแม่บ้านก็จะดูแลรับผิดชอบงานแผนกแม่บ้านทั้งหมด ในเมืองไทยนิยมเรียกเป็น Senior Floor Supervisor

ดูแลตรวจตราการทำงานของพนักงานทำความสะอาดหรือพนักงานดูแลห้องพัก (Cleaning Staff/Room Attendants) เฉพาะที่ทำงานอยู่ที่ฟลอร์ใดฟลอร์หนึ่งหรือส่วนใดส่วนหนึ่งของโรงแรม ซึ่งรวมถึงห้องพักแขกทั้งแบบห้องมาตรฐานและห้องชุด ห้องพักพนักงาน ทางเดิน บันได ห้องน้ำใช้ร่วมในบริเวณโรงแรม ห้องนั่งเล่น เป็นต้น ผู้ช่วยแม่บ้านคนที่อาวุโสที่สุดจะทำการแทนหัวหน้าแม่บ้านหรือหัวหน้าแผนกแม่บ้านเมื่อมีเหตุจำเป็น

ตำแหน่งนี้โรงแรมต่าง ๆในเมืองไทยนิยมเรียกกันว่า Floor Supervisor หรือหัวหน้าประจำฟลอร์
