งานวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ เรื่อง บรรยากาศ โดยใช้วิธีการสอนตามแบบวัฎจักรการเรียนรู้ 7 ขั้น (7Es) สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 โรงเรียนบ้านห้วยไคร้ อำเภอน้ำปาด จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ 2) เพื่อพัฒนาการจัดการเรียนรู้วิทยาศาสตร์ เรื่อง ปฏิสัมพันธ์ในระบบสุริยะ โดยใช้วิธีการสอนตามแบบวัฎจักรการเรียนรู้ 7 ขั้น (7Es) สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 โรงเรียนบ้านห้วยไคร้ อำเภอน้ำปาด จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ กลุ่มเป้าหมายที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ปีการศึกษา 2558 โรงเรียนบ้านห้วยไคร้ อำเภอน้ำปาด จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ จำนวน 3 คน ซึ่งได้มาโดยการเลือกแบบเจาะจง
