การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ วิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการจ้างแรงงานกับผลิตภัณฑ์มวลรวมภายในประเทศ ซึ่งตัวแปรที่ใช้ในการศึกษา ได้แก่ ผลิตภัณฑ์มวลรวมภายในประเทศที่แท้จริงรายปีจำนวนผู้มีงานทำจำแนกตามอาชีพ และผลิตภาพจากการจ้างแรงงานภายในประเทศรายปี โดยใช้ข้อมูลจากการสำรวจจากธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทยเป็นข้อมูลรายปีตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2544-2553 ข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการศึกษาคือ ข้อมูลเชิงอนุกรมเวลา (Time-series)
