การคัดลอกการบ้านในปัจจุบันมีมากในระดับอุดมศึกษา จากการตรวจการบ้านของนักศึกษาที่เรียนวิชาการจัดการผลิตและการดำเนินงานของคณะบริหารธุรกิจ มหาวิทยาลัยสยามพบว่านักศึกษาได้คัดลอกการบ้านกันนำมาส่ง โดยในแต่ละกลุ่มมีต้นฉบับประมาณ 5-6ฉบับ ที่ไม่เหมือนกัน นอกนั้นจะทำการคัดลอกกันมาส่งโดยคิดเป็นร้อยละมากกว่า 90 ของกลุ่มหรือชั้นเรียน จากการสังเกตนักศึกษาที่เรียนวิชาการจัดการผลิตและการดำเนินงานในเทอมที่1/2548 จึงเห็นว่าการคัดลอกการบ้านของนักศึกษาเป็นปัญหาที่น่าให้ความสนใจและควรที่จะทำการศึกษา ดังนั้นผู้วิจัยจึงนำประเด็นดังต่อไปนี้มาทำการศึกษา
