กรมสรรพากรได้ขอความเห็นชอบคณะรัฐมนตรี เพื่อขอยกเว้นภาษีให้บริษัทนิติบุคลที่ประกอบกิจการเพื่อสังคม เพื่อเป็นการกระตุ้นให้บริษัทขนาดใหญ่ลงทุนเพื่อสังคมมากขึ้นและส่งเสริมวิสาหกิจที่อยู่ในชุมชนให้มีการลงทุนเพิ่มมากขึ้น
