กฎจราจร คือ ส่วนหนึ่งของกฎหมายจราจร ซึ่งเป็นกฎหมายหลักในการบังคับควบคุมการจราจรให้ เป็นไปด้วยความเรียบร้อยและมีความ เป็นระเบียบกฎหมายจราจรที่ใช้เป็นหลักในประเทศ ก็ คือ พระราชบัญญัติจราจรทางบก พ.ศ.2522 แก้ไขเพิ่มเติม (ฉบับที่ 4) พ.ศ.2535 องค์ประกอบของกฎหมายจราจร มี 6 อย่างดังนี้

2. ผู้ปฏิบัติตามกฎหมาย ได้แก่ คนขับรถทุกชนิด(รวมถึงคนนั่งหรือซ้อนรถด้วย) คนที่ต้องใช้ถนน (เดินเท้าข้ามถนน จูง ขี่ หรือไล่ต้อนสัตว์)
3. ผู้บังคับให้เป็นไปตามกฎหมาย ได้แก่ เจ้าพนักงานจราจร พนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่ พนักงานสอบสวน ฯลฯ
4. เครื่องมือในการใช้บังคับ ได้แก่ เครื่องหมายจราจร และสัญญาณจราจร ฯลฯ
