วัดเชียงมั่น ตั้งอยู่ที่ ถ.ราชภาคินัย อ.เมือง เป็นวัดที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดในตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่ มีมาตั้งแต่สมัยแรกสร้างเมือง เมื่อ พ.ศ. 1839 พญามังราย ได้ทรงยกพระตำหนักเชียงมั่น ถวายเป็นพระอารามให้ชื่อว่า วัดเชียงมั่น และโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้สร้างเจดีย์ช้างล้อม บริเวณพื้นที่หอประทับของพระองค์
