1.สืบสวนหาสาเหตุ ของปัญหา และ หาวิธีการแก้ไขเพื่อไม่ให้เกิดขึ้นอีก
2.วิเคราะห์ข้อบกพร่องเพื่อจะช่วยในการปรับปรุงคุณภาพ
3.ประเมินการปฏิบัติเพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงการเกิดซ้ำ
4.ปฏิบัติการแก้ไข
5.มีการจดบันทึกการแก้ไข และทำการทบทวนการปฏิบัติการแก้ไขเป็นระยะๆ
