ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ปัจจุบันเด็กนิยมเล่นเกมส์คอมพิวเตอร์เป็นจำนวนมากซึ่งผู้ปกครองหรือผู้ใหญ่จะมองว่าเป็นสิ่งที่ไม่ดีต่อสมองของเด็กในวัยเรียน แต่เกมส์คอมพิวเตอร์มีส่วนช่วยในการพัฒนาภาษาอังกฤษอย่างมาก โดยเฉพาะการฟังและการพูดเนื่องจากเยาวชนเล่นเกมคอมพิวเตอร์และใช้เวลาอยู่กับเกมพอสมควร จึงทำให้เด็กได้ยินคำพูดภายในเกมเป็นภาษาอังกฤษตลอดเวลาและทำให้เด็กได้เรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษ โดยการฟังและแปลจากการที่เด็กเห็นสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นภายในเกมและเข้าใจคำๆนั้นเป็นอย่างดี ทำให้เด็กนั้นเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษได้โดยผ่านจากเกมคอมพิวเตอร์
