สำหรับแนวทางในปี 2559 กรมฯ จะเน้นสร้างความร่วมมือในการจำหน่ายสินค้าระดับบนกับผู้ประกอบการรายใหญ่ในญี่ปุ่น เช่น Pesco, Dinos, ฯลฯ จัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการขายสินค้าไทย พร้อมทั้งการส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์ (Brand image) ของผู้ประกอบการไทยผ่านการจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ ในญี่ปุ่น
