เทศกาลที่ฉันชื่นชอบของตะวันตก   คือเทศกาลลอยโคมไฟกระดาษ หรือ เทศกาลบง เพราะเป็นเทศกาลที่มีลักษณะคล้ายๆกับลอยกระทงของประเทศไทยแต่สิ่งที่แตกต่างกันก็คือ สิ่งที่ชาวญี่ปุ่นนำมาลอยนั้นไม่ใช่กระทง แต่ว่าเป็นโคมไฟกระดาษที่มีเทียนจุดไฟอยู่ภายใน จากนั้นจะถูกนำไปลอยลงไปในแม่น้ำ ซึ่งเป็นความเชื่อของคนนับถือศาสนาพุทธในญี่ปุ่นที่ว่า เป็นพิธีส่งวิญญานบรรพบุรุษกลับไปยังโลกอื่นๆ ซึ่งต่างกับไทยที่การลอยกระทงจะเป็นพิธีขอพร และมีการแสดงให้ชม งดงามตระกาลตา
