ปัญหาการแชร์อย่างรวดนั้นส่งผลกระทบต่อสังคมเป็นอย่างมาก การเลือกนำข่าวบน Social media มาเผยแพร่ซ้ำ โดยไม่ตรวจสอบยิ่งเป็นการตอกย้ำความผิดลงไปอีก แต่ปัจจุบันสิ่งที่ทำได้ก็คือ การคัดกรองข่าวสาร การคิดไตร่ตรองข้อมูลข่าวสารทั้งก่อนเสพและก่อนสร้างข่าวสารลงบน Social media อย่างรอบคอบเสมอ การใช้วิจารณญาณ ข่าวต้องตรวจสอบได้ นักข่าวต้องไม่มีอติหรือแสดงความคิดเห็นส่วนตัวลงไปในข่าว และไม่เผยแพร่ข่าวลือต่างๆที่ยังไม่ผ่านการพิสูจน์ อีกวิธีคือ การช่วยกันรณรงค์ไม่เผยแพร่ข้อมูลที่ยังไม่มั่นใจว่าเป็นความจริงลงไปใน Social media อย่างรวดเร็ว ก็ช่วยลดปัญหานี้ได้
