      วิศวกร(engineer) มีหน้าที่ ศึกษาวิเคราะห์ คำนวณ ออกแบบ ตรวจสอบแก้ไขปัญหาและควบคุมการผลิต การก่อสร้างสิ่งก่อสร้าง การออกแบบและผลิตรถยนต์ การควบคุมเครื่องจักรกลโรงงานต่าง และอื่นๆอีกมากมาย แบะอีกหน้าที่หนึ่งที่ใครอาจนึกไม่ถึงคือต้องเป็นคนคุมคน วิศวกรต้องมีภาวะผู้นำอยู่เพราะโปรเจคต่างๆที่จะทำ เราต้องเป็นคนคุมให้เป็นไปตามที่ตัวเองออกกำหนดเอาไว้ เพราะการที่จะประกอบอาชีพนี้ให้ประสบความสำเร้จได้ เราต้องมีงานอุตสาหกรรมที่ดี แต่ไม่ใช่ว่าวิศวกรทุกคนจะสามารถทำงานอุตสาหกรรมตามใจตัวเองได้ทุกอย่าง จำเป็นต้องมีใบอนุญาตประกอบวิชาชีพวิศวกรรม หรือที่รู้จักกันว่า      "ใบกว." เพื่อการประกอบอาชีพด้วย 

ใบประกอบวิชาวิศวกรรมแบ่งเป็น 3 ระดับ คือ

1ภาคีวิศวกร

2.สามัญวิศวกร 

3.วุฒิวิศวกร 

       โดยมีสภาวิศวกรเป็นผู้พิจารณาออกใบอนุญาต ทั้งนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับ แขนง ลักษณะ และ ขนาด ของงานด้วย


       ส่วนเหตุผลของหนูที่อยากเป็นวิศวกร มันอาจจะไม่มีที่มาที่ไปสักเท่าไร เพราะเพิ่งสนใจเมื่อปีสองปีก่อนตอนที่เดินดูจุฬาวิชาการอยู่กับเพื่อน ระหว่างที่เดินดูงานอยู่ก็รู้สึกได้ว่าอาชีพนี้มันเหมาะกับตัวเรา เพราะตัวเองเป็นผู้หญิงที่ลุยๆ ชอบวิทยาศาสตร์ และเหตุผลอีกอย่างก็เป็นความรู้สึกที่ชอบอย่างไร้เหตๆผล พ่อแม่ของหนูเป็นหมอทั้งคู่ทำให้ตัวหนูเองแอบเบื่ออาชีพนั้น แม้เพื่อนๆส่วนใหญ่จะเลือกอาชีพสาขานั้นกันก็ตาม
