ถุงพลาสติกเป็นสิ่งรอบตัวเราหาง่ายและมีการทิ้งมากมายจึงได้มองเห็นว่าการนนำถุงพลาสติกมาประดิษฐ์เป็นถังขยะนั่นเป็นการเพิ่มคุณค่าของถุงพลาสติกที่ถูกทิ้งไว้ให้มีค่าขึ้นมาแล้วยังเป็นการทำให้ขยะลดลงอีกด้วย จึงเป็นจุดประสงค์ในการศึกษาครั่งนี้คือการที่เราช่วยลดขยะถุงพลาสติกและนำถุงพลาสติกมาทำเป็นถังขยะ จากการศึกษาพบว่าการที่เรานำถุงพลาสติกมาทำเป็นถังขยะเป็นการลดปริมาณของถุงพลาสติกที่เราไม่ได้ใช้ประโยชน์และสามารถนำถังขยะที่เราประดิษฐ์ขึ้นมาใช้ประโยชน์ได้ แต่ต้องใช้เวลานานในการทำเพราะถึงจะมีวิธีที่ไม่ซับซ้อนแต่บางครั้งตอนต้องใช้เวลานาน
