ประวัติความเป็นมา สถานแสดงพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำสงขลา
สถานแสดงพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำสงขลา ก่อตั้งขึ้นโดยเทศบาลนครสงขลา โดยเงินสนับสนุน บริษัทเซฟรอล ประเทศไทย ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ ณ บริเวณแหลมสนอ่อน (สวนสองทะเล) ตำบลบ่อยาง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสงขลา เปิดอย่างเป็นทางการวันเสาร์ที่ 27 กันยายน 2551 “สถานแสดงพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำสงขลา” เป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวแห่งใหม่ของจังหวัดสงขลา เพื่อเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับสิ่งมีชีวิตใต้น้ำ ทั้งด้านชีววิทยาและนิเวศวิทยา เราจะนำคุณสู่โลกใต้ทะเล ชมความยิ่งใหญ่ของปลาหมดทะเล น้ำหนักกว่า 200 กิโลกรัม ที่ใหญ่และมากที่สุดในประเทศ ฉลามเสือดาวที่แสนเชื่อง และกลุ่มปลาสวยงามตามแนวปะการัง ซึ่งคุณจะสัมผัสกับชีวิตแห่งโลกใต้

สถานแสดงพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำ สงขลา คือสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่ท่านจะต้องมาสัมผัส ท่านจะได้รับความสุข ความประทับใจ ที่นี่เป็นสถานที่พักผ่อนหย่อนใจ บรรยากาศทั้งภายในและภายนอกที่จะทำให้ท่านรู้สึกผ่อนคลาย หายเหนื่อย เพลิดเพลิน ไปกับบรรยากาศของที่นี่ ภายนอกจัดให้มีต้นไม้ที่ให้ความสวยงาม สบายตา ชื่นใจกับพันธุ์ไม้และดอกไม้ต่างๆมากมาย ที่ท่านสามารถถ่ายรูปเก็บภาพประทับใจที่มีฉากหลังอันสวยงามนี้ไว้ซึ่งมีอยู่หลายจุดที่ท่านจะเลือกความสวยงามเก็บไว้ในกล้อง อัลบั้มรูปถ่ายของท่าน ภายในจัดแสดงพันธุ์ปลากว่าพันชนิด ที่จัดแยกออกเป็น 4 โซนด้วยกัน คือ ระบบนิเวศน้ำจืด ระบบนิเวศน้ำกร่อย ระบบนิเวศน้ำเค็ม และทะเลอ่าวไทย ที่ท่านจะได้พบกับปลามากมายหลากหลายสายพันธุ์ ทั้งสวยงาม น่ารัก แปลกประหลาด และน่ามหัศจรรย์ เช่น ปลาหมอทะเล ปลาฉลามเสือดาว ปลากระเบนลายหินอ่อน ปลาช่อนทะเล ปลาการ์ตูน ม้าน้ำ ปลากะพง ปลาแรด เป็นต้นสงขลาอควาเรี่ยมจัดให้มีโชว์การให้อาหารปลาโดยนักดำน้ำที่มีอยู่ทุกวัน ท่านจะได้สัมผัสถึงวิธีการให้อาหารปลาอย่างถูกวิธี และน่าตื่นเต้น ให้อาหารปลาหมอทะเลที่มีน้ำหนักกว่า 200 กิโลกรัม ให้อาหารปลาฉลามเสือดาวที่มีความน่ารักและคุ้นกับนักดำน้ำ ให้อาหารปลากระเบนลายหินอ่อนที่ใหญ่กว่า 3 เมตร และให้อาหารปลาขนาดกลางชนิดอื่นๆอีกมากมายสงขลาอควาเรี่ยม เป็นแหล่งศึกษาการดำรงชีวิตของสัตว์โลกใต้ท้องทะเล ท่านจะได้เรียนรู้ถึงประวัติ การดำรงชีวิตของปลาแต่ละชนิด ซึ่งล้วนเป็นความรู้ที่คุ้มค่ายิ่ง ไม่ว่าท่านจะมาชมกับเพื่อน คนรัก ญาติพี่น้อง หรือมากันเป็นครอบครัวทุกท่านจะได้รับความสุข สนุกสนาน กลับไปอย่างแน่นอน
