- แหล่งข้อมูลปฐมภูมิ ได้แก่ เรื่องราวของเหตุการณืที่บันทึกไว้โดยผู้รู้เห็น หรือเกี่ยวข้องกับเหตุการณ์นั้นโดยตรง
- แหล่งข้อมูลทุติยภูมิ ได้แก่ บทความหรือรายงานของนักวิชาการทั้งในด้านประวัติศาสตร์ และสาขาวิชาการอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง
