มันเป็นหนังสือเบามือสำหรับไว้ถืออ่านให้หนักๆ สมองครับ ... นี่ไม่ใช่หนังสือที่ทำนายโลกอนาคตแบบ "นอสตาดามุส" หรือเล่าเรื่องเพ้อฝันถึงโลกอนาคตข้างหน้าอีกหลายๆ ร้อยปีแบบนิยายวิทยาศาสตร์ ... แต่ Patrick Dixon เลือกที่จะนำเสนอเรื่องราวที่ห่างจากปีปัจจุบันไปเพียงไม่เกิน 10-20 เท่านั้น ซึ่งหลายๆ เรื่องก็มีข่าวคราวให้พอเดาทางกันได้อยู่แล้วแหละ แต่พอเอาทุกๆ เรื่องมาเล่ารวมๆ กันจนเห็นภาพรวมของอนาคตอันใกล้นี้แล้ว มันทำให้ดูเหมือนว่า พวกเราควรจะมีเรื่องราวให้ต้องคิด และต้องเตรียมการไว้ล่วงหน้ามากมายจนน่าตกใจจริงๆ ...
