งานวิจัยนี้จึงได้นำเทคนิค Search Engine Optimization (SEO) และ Social Media Optimization (SMO) มาประยุกต์ใช้ร่วมกัน โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์คือ การเพิ่มจำนวนผู้เข้าถึงเว็บไซต์และวิเคราะห์ว่าช่องใดที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการเพิ่มจำนวนของผู้เข้าถึงเว็บไซต์มากที่สุดและมากน้อยเพียงใด
จากการศึกษาพบว่า เทคนิคที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการเข้าถึงของผู้ใช้งานเว็บไซต์มากที่สุดคือ เทคนิค SEO โดยดูจากอัตราการเข้าใช้งานเว็บไซต์ที่เพิ่มขึ้น พบว่าเมื่อนำเทคนิค SEO มาประยุกต์ใช้เพียงเทคนิคเดียว มีปริมาณผู้เข้าใช้เว็บไซต์เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 86.55% และเมื่อนำเทคนิค SMO มาประยุกต์ใช้พร้อมกับเทคนิค SEO พบว่าเทคนิค SMO สามารถเพิ่มปริมาณผู้เข้าใช้เว็บไซต์ได้เพียงร้อยละ 9.41%เท่านั้นและผลลัพธ์ในแง่มุมของความสำเร็จของการเข้าถึงเว็บไซต์ จากการสำรวจข้อมูลจากการติดต่อจริง อาทิเช่น การติดต่อททางโทรศัพท์ การติดต่อด้วย E-Mail การติดต่อผ่านทาง Social Media และการติดต่อผ่านหน้าเว็บเพจ Contact us พบว่า เทคนิค SMO มีอัตราความสำเร็จที่ดีที่สุด โดยในระยะเวลาที่ประยุกต์ใช้เทคนิค SEO เพียงเทคนิคเดียวนั้น มีผู้ติดต่อจริงด้วยวิธีการโทรติดต่อ จำนวน 2 ราย เท่านั้น และในช่วงที่มีการนำเทคนิค SMO มาประยุกต์ใช้เพิ่มเติมนั้น มีผู้ติดต่อจริง จำนวน 5 ราย โดยมาจากการติดต่อผ่าน Facebook จำนวน 4 ราย และอีก 1 ราย ใช้วิธีการติดต่อส่งข้อมูลผ่านหน้าเว็บ Contact us
