ศูนย์ถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยีเกษตรกรรม (ฟาร์ม) ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานที่ตอบสนองต่อยุทธศาสตร์ทั้งด้านสนับสนุนการผลิตบัณฑิต วิจัย และบริการวิชาการ จึงได้เล็งเห็นความสำคัญของการอนุรักษ์และสืบสานการใช้ประโยชน์จากควายไทย จึงได้ดำเนินการจัดทำโครงการทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรม เรื่อง “ศูนย์เรียนรู้ศิลปวัฒนธรรมการเลี้ยงและใช้งานจากควายไทยเพื่อการอนุรักษ์” ขึ้น เพื่อสืบสาน
การอนุรักษ์วิถีชาวนาอย่างยั่งยืน เพื่อประโยชน์แก่อนุชนคนรุ่นหลัง สืบไป
โครงการศูนย์เรียนรู้ศิลปวัฒนธรรมการเลี้ยงและการใช้งานจากควายไทยเพื่อการอนุรักษ์ จะไม่เป็นเพียงโครงการที่เมื่อสิ้นปีงบประมาณแล้วยุติการดำเนินโครงการตามปีงบประมาณ แต่จะเป็นโครงการดำเนินการอย่างต่อเนื่อง ที่จะสามารถเป็นศูนย์เรียนรู้ศิลปวัฒนธรรมการเลี้ยงและการใช้งานจากควายไทยเพื่อการอนุรักษ์ได้อย่างยั่งยืน อันจะเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้แก่อนุชนคนรุ่นหลังตามที่มุ่งหวัง สืบไป
