ที่มาของทฤษฎีนี้
เริ่มจาก Einstein มีไอเดียที่ว่าแรงดึงดูดนั้นจริงๆไม่ใช่ "Force" แต่จริงๆแล้วเป็นการที่วัตถุนึงทำให้ Space&Time บิดเบี้ยว และสิ่งต่างๆที่เข้าใกล้มันก็ถูกดูดเข้าหาวัตถุนั้นเพราะการบิดนั้นๆ ทฤษฎีทั้งหมดที่เค้าค้นพบได้รับการพิสูจน์หมดแล้วยกเว้นทฤษฎี Gravitational Wave นี่แหละ คลื่นที่ว่านี้ตรวจจับได้ยากมาก เพราะขนาดคลื่นที่มาจาก Neutron Star หรือหลุมดำสองลูกกำลังหมุนเข้าหากันนั้น (เหตุการณ์พวกนี้จะอยู่ไกลจากเรามากเป็นร้อยล้านปีแสง+ และอาจจะเกิดขึ้นปีละครั้งจนถึงหมื่นปีครั้งเท่านั้น) กว่าจะมาถึงเรามันก็แค่เปลี่ยนความยาวของ Proton ได้แค่หนึ่งส่วนล้านเท่านั้น

วิธีตรวจจับก็อย่างที่จ่าบอกแหละครับคือใช้ลำแสงเลเซอร์ยิงแล้วให้มันแยกเป็นสองอันให้มันเด้งไปมาหลายๆรอบแล้วให้กลับมาชนกันมันจะ cancel กันพอดี แต่ถ้า Gravitational Wave ผ่านมามันจะมีการรบกวนทำให้ตรวจจับได้ แต่ปัญหาคือหมาเห่าหรือนกที่อยู่ห่างออกไป2-3โลตดก็ยังสามารถทำให้เกิดการรบกวนที่ว่านี้ได้ ยังดีที่ Gravitational Wave นี้มันมี pattern การรบกวนที่ต่างออกไปหน่อย แต่ก็ต้องพิสูจน์กันหลายรอบให้แน่ใจก่อน
