การประกาศนโยบาย “ค่านิยมหลักของคนไท

การประกาศนโยบาย “ค่านิยมหลักของคนไทย ๑๒ ประการ” ของพลเอกประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา
นายกรัฐมนตรีและหัวหน้าคณะรักษาความสงบแห่งชาติ (คสช.) นั้น กำหนดขึ้นเพื่อมุ่งหวัง
สร้างประเทศไทยในอนาคตให้เข้มแข็ง ซึ่งการที่ประเทศไทยจะเข้มแข็งได้ ต้องมีคนในชาติ
ที่เข้มแข็งก่อน ดังนั้นจึงกำหนดค่านิยมหลักของคนไทยให้ชัดเจนขึ้น เพื่อให้คนไทยใช้
เป็นแนวทางประพฤติปฏิบัติตน โดยค่านิยมหลักของคนไทย ๑๒ ประการ มีดังนี้

๑. มีความรักชาติ ศาสนา พระมหากษัตริย์ ซึ่งเป็นสถาบันหลักของชาติในปัจจุบัน หมายถึง
การประพฤติปฏิบัติตนที่แสดงถึงความศรัทธา หวงแหน ปกป้องยกย่องความเป็นชาติไทย ยึดมั่นศาสนา
และจงรักภักดีต่อสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ เช่น รู้ความสำคัญและให้ความเคารพชาติ ศาสนา
พระมหากษัตริย์ เป็นต้น

๒. ซื่อสัตย์ เสียสละ อดทน มีอุดมการณ์ในสิ่งที่ดีงามเพื่อส่วนรวม หมายถึง การปฏิบัติตน

เรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมประเพณีไทยและสามารถปฏิบัติตามได้ เป็นต้น

๖. มีศีลธรรม รักษาความสัตย์ หวังดีต่อผู้อื่น เผื่อแผ่และแบ่งปัน หมายถึง การประพฤติ
ปฏิบัติตนที่ดีงาม ยึดคำมั่นสัญญา มีจิตใจโอบอ้อมอารี ช่วยเหลือผู้อื่น เช่น พูดความจริง มีน้ำใจ
ต่อเพื่อน ไม่ลักขโมย เป็นต้น
