เหตุที่ Startup ไม่หาทุนด้วยการกู้ธนาคาร...

เรามาดูกันที่ 2 ประโยค นี้ก่อนครับ
"ธุรกิจไปได้สวย" กับ "คาดว่าธุรกิจจะไปได้สวย"!!!

ธุรกิจที่ไปได้สวย คือธุรกิจที่ดำเนินธุรกิจมาช่วงระยะเวลานึงแล้วพอสมควร มีเงินทุนเพียงพอที่จะเดินธุรกิจต่อไปได้ และกำลังเติบโต
.
ส่วนธุรกิจที่คาดว่าจะไปได้สวย นั้นเป็นธุรกิจที่เพิ่งเริ่มต้น หรือ อาจจะยังไม่ได้เริ่มต้น อาจจะเพราะ ไม่มีเงินทุน
.
คำตอบของคำถามคือ
ธนาคารไม่สนใจคำว่า "คาดว่า" หรือ "จะ" ... ธนาคาร ไม่สนใจ ธุรกิจที่เป็น Startup ที่ยังไม่มีอะไรให้เห็นเป็นรูปธรรม เพราะ ยังมีความเสี่ยงสูงที่ธุรกิจจะเจ๊ง มากเกินกว่าที่ธนาคารจะรับได้ เป็นนโยบายป้องกัน NPL (หนี้) ของธนาคารทั่วๆไป

ถ้าถามต่อว่า SMEs สามารถกู้ได้ ด้วยการเอาหลักทรัพย์ค้ำประกัน...ผมก็จะให้ย้อนกลับไป ที่คำว่า Startup ก็คือ เป็น บริษัทเปิดใหม่ ที่มีเพียงแค่ไอเดียในการดำเนินธุรกิจ และ ความตั้งใจ (2 อย่างนี้ใช้กู้ธนาคารไม่ได้) แต่ยังขาดเงินทุน และทรัพยากร ที่จะนำมาบริหาร ให้ธุรกิจเติบโต จึงต้องมีการระดมทุนในหลายๆ รูปแบบ ไม่ว่าจะหาผู้ร่วมหุ้น หานายทุน หรือ crowd funding

สิ่งที่มีให้ มีเพียง ความตั้งใจ และ ความเชื่อใจ...ดังนั้น จึงมีคนไม่มากที่สนใจจะร่วมทุนกับ Startup และก็เป็นเหตุผลว่า ทำไมมีคนที่รวยกับการลงทุนใน Startup ที่มีศักยภาพสูง (High Potential) ไม่มากเช่นกัน

หากมาถามต่อว่า ทำไม ถึงใช้ระบบเครือข่าย ที่ทำให้ธุรกิจ ดูราคาถูก (Look Cheap) ดูไม่เท่ห์ ดูแล้ว ภาพลักษณ์ไม่สวยงามในการระดมทุน...ผมจะตอบว่า

1. ภาพลักษณ์ที่ดูดี ไม่ได้มีผลในการทำให้ธุรกิจเติบโตเท่าไหร่นัก แต่ฐานลูกค้าที่มากพอต่างหากที่ทำให้ธุรกิจสามารถเติบโตได้

2. หากไม่ใช่เครือข่าย ก็ต้องใช้ Broker ในการระดมทุน อยากจะให้มองภาพ ระหว่าง Broker เพียงคนเดียว หรือ กลุ่มเดียว ในการหาลูกค้าผู้ที่สนใจลงทุน แข่งกับ ผู้ที่ลงทุนทุกคนหาผู้ที่สนใจลงทุนคนใหม่ ใครจะระดมทุนหา นักลงทุนได้เร็วกว่ากัน???? บริษัทต้องจ่าย ค่า Commission พอๆ กัน แต่ระบบเครือข่าย หาทุนได้เร็วกว่า ด้วยระบบ ลูกค้าบอกต่อกัน (Member gets Members) ในอัตราเพิ่มขึ้นแบบ ทวีคูณ

3. บรรดาสมาชิกที่ร่วมลงทุน นอกจากจะไปนักลงทุน และ ผู้ระดมทุนให้บริษัท แล้ว ยังเป็นเสมือนฐานลูกค้าของบริษัท กลุ่มแรกที่จะเป็นกลุ่มคนที่สร้างแรงเหวี่ยงให้สินค้า กระจายออกไปสู้สายตากลุ่มคนอื่นๆ

เท่ากับว่า บริษัท OD ที่ใช้วิธีการตลาดแบบเครือข่ายในการระดมทุน จ่ายค่า Commission เพียงทางเดียว แต่สามารถเพิ่มทั้งจำนวนผู้ระดมทุน ฐานลูกค้า และ แน่นอนได้เงินทุนด้วย ยิงปืนนัดเดียวได้ นก 3 ตัว!! แบบนี้ถึงจะดูไม่เท่ห์ แต่ เป็นการลงทุนที่คุ้มยิ่งกว่าคุ้ม...คุณว่าจริงมั้ย???

ทั้งหมดทั้งมวล ทำให้ผม อยากถามกลับ ว่า ทำไม Steve Job ถึงไม่กู้ธนาคาร แต่ กลับ โทรหานายทุน เพราะอะไร???
